Pre-orders for the new 4v1 hunt or haunt multiplayer game based on Ghostbusters from IllFonic, the developer of the Friday the 13th game are out now! You can digitally pre-order Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed on PC via the Epic Games Store, and on Playstation 4/5, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One today.
The game tasks you with joining a group of four Ghostbusters or becoming one of the Ghosts that they’re trying to hunt down. Team up in online cross-platform multiplayer or single-player with bots. Use various gadgets like the PKE meter, Particle Throwers, and of course, Ghost Traps to battle the ectoplasmic enemies. Or you can join up with the Ghosts to scare away civilians, possess objects, and hijack the Ghostbusters.
If you pre-order the game digitally, you’ll get access to Slimer as a playable character along with multiple cosmetic items like a custom Particle Thrower and Proton Pack.
Throughout you’ll visit Ghostbusters locales that you know and love like the Firehouse, Ray’s Occult Books, and other locations for the Ghosts to come out and terrorize. You can customize your Ghostbuster at the Firehouse and for Ghosts, Ray’s Occult Books becomes your gateway to the spirit world.
