Texas Chainsaw Massacre from Netflix is almost here. THS sat down with the director of the film, David Blue Garcia to talk about the ins and outs of the new sequel. In addition to that, he went through a bit of Texas filmmaking style, working with Fede Alvarez, and the absolutely insane scene in the new film involving Leatherface, a bus, and of course, a chainsaw. Check out the interview below.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre is an absolute return to glory for the franchise. The film is directed by David Blue Garcia, written by Chris Thomas Devlin with a story by Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues. It’s a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper‘s seminal classic, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

The story is simple, a group of young influencers/entrepreneurs decide to buy a dilapidated Texas town to turn it into a Utopia. Little do they know, that Leatherface resides in this small town. Things go poorly, and Leatherface breaks out, to cause mayhem and starts massacring people.

It stars Sarah Yarkin, Elsie Fisher, Mark Burnham, Jacob Latimore, Moe Dunford, Olwen Fouere, Jessica Allain, Nell Hudson, and features John Larroquette as the narrator.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre releases on Netflix on February 18th, 2022.
